Why I Created The Breakup Broker

If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’re trying to figure out what to do with your home during a divorce or major life transition.

And if that’s the case, I want you to know something right away:

You’re not supposed to have all the answers.

Because this? This isn’t something most people are ever taught how to navigate.

It started with my own experience

When I went through my own divorce, I quickly realized just how overwhelming the real estate side of things could be.

Even with a background in real estate, it felt like a lot.

There were decisions to make, timelines to consider, and financial implications tied to one of the biggest assets in my life.

And I kept thinking…

What if I didn’t already understand this?

What if I was trying to figure this out from scratch, while also dealing with everything else that comes with a divorce?

Then I started seeing it everywhere

People asking questions online.
Trying to piece together advice from Google.
Getting answers in Facebook groups that were… incomplete at best, and flat-out wrong at worst.

And the stakes? Way too high for guesswork.

Because the decisions you make about your home during this time can impact:

  • your financial future

  • your stability

  • your next chapter

That’s when The Breakup Broker was born

Not as a traditional real estate business.

But as a space where people could come to:

  • get clear on their options

  • ask questions without judgment

  • and make decisions that actually support their future

Because sometimes the right answer isn’t to sell.

Sometimes it’s to stay.
Sometimes it’s to buy.
And sometimes it’s just to slow down long enough to understand your options.

What I believe

I believe you deserve:

  • clarity before making decisions

  • support without pressure

  • and guidance that actually considers the full picture

Not just the transaction.

If you’re in this place right now

You don’t have to figure it all out today.

You don’t even have to know the right questions yet.

You just need a place to start.
